Several people have responded to offer the sacrifice of time to be God’s hands and feet to help provide relief for those impacted by the tornado damage, especially in Kentucky. In our efforts to coordinate a work relief team, it was determined that with more inclement weather in the forecast this weekend that it would be best not to go for the time being. We’ll keep tuned in to the demands for workers in the coming weeks where we may have other opportunities to be boots on the ground with the Helping His Hands ministry team.
In the short term, the most impactful thing we can do is pray, and to provide much-needed funds for the Helping His Hands ministry to support the work, and for them to purchase supplies that are in the most demand in the area. Some of the Discover family have already provided funding available for disaster relief which we’ll be sending along, but we also wanted to provide an additional opportunity to make financial contributions as the Lord leads.
Donations can be given through our
or by check, denoting Disaster Relief in the memo.
Thanks again for the quick responses and willingness to consider the call and say, “Here am I; send me.”
