Giving

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." — James 1:17 (NIV)

Giving is part of worship. Everything we own, everything we have, comes from God. When we give, we simply offer him back a small portion of all the abundance he has given us. Everything we “give” already belongs to Him! Giving is an expression of our thankfulness and praise to God. It comes from a heart of worship.

There are several ways you can give to Discover Christian Church:

  • Through your bank using automatic payments sent directly to DCC (like bill pay)
  • Church offering boxes located at the doors of the Worship Center

  • Mail or drop off to the church office during the week

If you would like to give a gift of stock or other non-cash donations, please contact the church office at 614-889-1572

We can also assist you with Planned Giving through your estate.

On the first Sunday of each month, the people of Discover make an impact simply by giving an extra $1.00. One dollar may not be much, but together, those individual dollars become a meaningful way to help, encourage, and bless someone.

Since 2010, Discover 1 has blessed many people in the NW Columbus community -- people who have faced illness, suffered job loss, experienced a fire or accident, and much more. Each Christmas season, the impact of Discover 1 is multiplied, bringing hope and brightening dozens of lives who simply need a tangible reminder that God loves them.

If you know of someone in the community with a specific need, e-mail your suggestion to discover1@discovercc.org

(recipients are kept confidential).

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

- Matthew 5:16

On the second Sunday of every month, we invite you to bring in two (or more) food items. These donations are given directly to the Dublin Food Pantry or to the Smoky Row Food Pantry on alternating months to assist families in the Greater Northwest Columbus area. (Note: donations can be brought to the church office any time!)

The food pantry gratefully accepts all kinds of food donations.

These items are currently needed most:

  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing, ...)
  • Toothpaste
  • Noodle side dish (Pasta Roni, Knorr or Loretta pasta sides, ...)
  • Boxed potatoes (mashed, scalloped, au gratin, ...)
  • Canned tomato products (sauce, paste, diced, stewed, ...)
  • Jam or jelly
  • Dried beans & lentils
