I've been at Discover since 2004 (and also 1991-2000 and 1986-1988) - what a blessing! I decided to follow Jesus when I was 9, and have been following Him imperfectly since then. I'm very grateful for my wonderful wife, Theresa, and our fantastic adult children: Carmen and her husband Mike, Aaron, and Nate. I enjoy family/friends, music, tech, sports, good movies (especially at theaters with recliners), laughter, and fixing stuff (or trying).

Besides Jesus, I’d want to have lunch with Enoch. It would be cool to listen to and learn from a man who "walked with God, and then was gone, because God took him away." (Genesis 5:24)

  • Jordan Tuttle

    Student MINISTER

I have been part of Discover since January 2015. I just got married to my wonderful wife Kelly on May 16, and I am so excited about that! I love the church, and I love to be with people and grow in relationships with others. I have a big passion for connecting people to the church through relationships and worship. I am a born and bred Buckeye fan, so I bleed scarlet and grey. I love to take part in most sports but mainly golf, soccer, and basketball. I love to play music and sing (obviously), but my favorite thing to do musically is pound on the drums.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Isaiah. He experienced so much, and he was so attentive to the presence of God. He grasped a wide perspective of the vastness of God.

  • Cindy Herpolsheimer

    Children's MINISTER

My family has been at Discover for more than 12 years. I consider it a great blessing that my teenage kids -- Calvin, Jay, and Kaylie -- have called DCC "home" all their lives! I have been on staff here since 2007, first as Upward Coordinator, and since 2011 as Children's Minister. My biggest passion is for teaching -- whether that means inventing creative new ways to show Jesus to kids, helping Boy Scouts learn a skill, or just dazzling kids with big words to add to their vocabulary! I love science, and all the cool ways we can learn about God's amazing creation, as well as spending time IN that great creation with my awesome family!

Besides Jesus, I would like to have lunch with James -- the brother of Jesus, James! Being a kid with Jesus? Oh, wow. I'd want to know what Jesus did for fun... how other kids treated him... how Jesus dealt with the playground bully... what was hardest about having the only truly perfect brother in history... and DID Jesus ever roll off the top bunk in the middle of the night?! Seriously, what great stories would James have to tell? Let's just say, it would be a really long lunch!

I have been a part of the Discover staff since December 2017. Previously, I have been the worship arts minister at Beechwold Christian Church in central Ohio and McDonough Christian Church near Atlanta, Georgia. My wife, Emily, and I have four beautiful children: Sadie, Clara, Braden, and Nolan. I studied music at The Ohio State University and have a background teaching music education in central Ohio. I enjoy music, creative arts, woodworking, and the Buckeyes.

Besides Jesus, I would want to have lunch with David to learn from his sins, repentance, God-honoring characteristics, and passion to lead.

  • Jim Brechbuhler

    Discipleship MINISTER

I've been on staff at Discover since 2003 (and also 1985-88). I'm blessed to be married to Cheryl, my best friend, for 30 years, and we have 3 lovable sons and a very cool daughter-in-law. I wanted to be a minister since I was 13, but first spent 20+ years in accounting. At the age of 43, I was hired to into my dream job...the ministry at last!  My favorite thing to do is hang out with my family. I think draft horses are one of God's greatest creations! I also love to hang out in Amish country, close to where I grew up.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Peter, because he messed up, yet accepted God's grace and went on to serve with fervor. But I would also want to go with Joshua for lunch....he seemed to do things right and that's rare! I'd love to ask him questions about holiness, courage and leadership.

  • Dave Welsh

    Global Outreach MINISTER

Cindy and I joined Discover in 2005 and I came on staff in 2010. I am Husband to Cindy for 34 years, father to Bill (Jill) and Shannon (Greg) and grandfather to Connor and Anna. I came to know Christ through the Catholic Church (Irish Catholic upbringing) and became an immersed believer in 2005. An US Air Force veteran, I have worked in the corporate world for over 30 years and the Olentangy school district for seven. Christ moved me into prison ministry (Kairos) over the last 15 years, which led me to youth ministry. I also have a passion for global missions, and have served on several missions teams. Any time I can spend with my family, especially my grandkids is wonderful. Weather permitting, I look forward to road cycling, golf and just being outside.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Simon Peter. I can relate to his challenges and struggles and his love and faith in Jesus.

  • Debbie Crouso

    Office MANAGER

I have been attending Discover for 15 years and have been on staff since July of 2002. I have been a Christian for many years because of my mother's strong influence in my life. I have 8 grandchildren from age 18 to 7 years that are the joys of my life! I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren. They keep me smiling! I like reading, cooking, decorating and I enjoy going to thrift stores and finding unique items for my home.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Joseph (in Genesis). I think Joseph grew into a man of absolute integrity in spite of the many difficult circumstances in his life. He was a man who practiced forgiveness to many.

I have been attending Discover for 22 years. I was born and raised a Buckeye, have lived in the Dublin area 25 years, and am married to Rhonda 30 plus years, and have 4 great kids. I enjoy being outdoors and doing creative things.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Adam. I would just like to know what it was like living during the dawn of creation.

  • KAthy Huffman

    Global Café manager

My family and I have been attending Discover since 2002 and members since 2004. I was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and moved to Bowling Green, Ohio when I was 11 years old. I went to nursing school in Toledo and became an RN and met my future husband, Dan in 1985. He convinced me to move to Columbus and we were married in 1988. We were blessed with triplets, Breanne, Lauren, and Kyle in 1997. Besides managing DCC's Global Cafe, I work at OSU Ross Heart Hospital in the Cardiac Rhythm Device Clinic. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and our dogs, Snickers and Milo. In my spare time, I like to read, listen to music, work in the yard and travel.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with sisters, Martha and Mary. I would enjoy hearing their stories of what it was like to have Jesus staying with them in their home. I relate with Martha in getting caught up in the details and am reminded by Mary's example to listen to what Jesus has to say. I would also want to hear them tell their experience of how Jesus came to them after their brother, Lazarus died, prayed at his tomb and raised him from the dead. What an incredible story that would be to hear from a first person perspective.

  • bill Roberts

I have been going to Discover for 17 years. My wife Loriena and I have been married for almost 17 years and have been blessed with two wonderful children. We are active in the children's ministry and our life group at DCC. We reside in West Jefferson and I am an anesthesiologist at various facilities around Columbus. DCC has been a tremendous blessing to our lives over the years. I enjoy camping and other outdoor activities with Loriena and our children.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Paul. He is the father of Christianity as we know it today. His character and teachings are instrumental to living out Christ in our lives.

Amy teaches 2nd grade at Tree of Life Christian School here at Discover. I grew up in Northwest Ohio, and have been a Christian for 30 years. • Bob holtcamp

I have been a member at DCC for 16 years. I grew up in Springfield, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois (BA) and Washington University in St. Louis (MBA). I was baptized at Lakeside Christian Church, in Illinois by my Dad.I have been blessed to baptize both of my children here at Discover. It has been a pleasure to serve with Tina in the DCC Guest Reception over the years.

It is a true honor to serve as an elder at Discover.God calls us to serve others, just as he came to serve and to save. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Matthew 25:40.The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

  • Devon Stanley

I have been at Discover since Sept 1998. I grew up in the Parkview Church of Christ in Wooster, Ohio and gave my life to the Lord on Easter Sunday 1990. I married my high school sweetheart, Tracie, in 1998 and am a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Landscape Horticulture. I am employed by Benchmark Landscape Construction Inc. as the Maintenance Division Manager and New Business Developer. Tracie and I have been blessed with four beautiful daughters Brynne, Ashtynne, Kailynne and Jocelynne. We love living the country life outside of Plain City.

My interests/hobbies include coaching and watching my girls play sports (they do softball, soccer and dance), riding four wheelers, kayaking, camping, gardening, landscaping and working on our 1890's farmhouse and helping the girls with their 4-H livestock projects. I of course love OSU football and enjoy watching Nascar and dirt track racing as well. I really enjoy hanging out with good friends eating great food.

Besides Jesus, I'd want to have lunch with Ezekiel. (I think it is an impossible task to have only one Biblical figure that I would want to sit and have lunch with... there are so many and so many questions to ask. Since I have to pick one I think I would choose the old testament prophet Ezekiel.) While there are many figures in the Bible who witnessed great works of God, Ezekiel got to see a valley full of the dried bones of a vast army come to life in front of him. The Bible tells us that he witnessed flesh, tendons and breath come into these skeletons and they became alive. Wow! What would it have been like to bear witness to something such as that... pretty cool stuff! Many other miraculous and awesome things/figures come to mind and this one is probably not even in the top 100 of most important in showing/bearing testimony of God, but could you imagine witnessing it? Awesome!
